Delivery driver' hits woman outside Mailbox in Birmingham City Centre

A woman has told how she was left shaken after being struck by an electric bike near Birmingham's Mailbox. The collision happened outside Subway on Navigation Street at around 8.15pm on Saturday, January 13.

The victim told BirminghamLive a delivery driver was riding the scooter - though police were unable to verify that claim. The 32-year-old said: "I was walking across the road with a friend, towards the red car park.

"The driver came from the oncoming traffic lane and hit into me. The rider was going towards Mailbox."

Luckily, she was not seriously hurt. A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "A woman was struck by an electric bike on Navigation Street at just after 8.15pm on Saturday, causing minor injuries.
